Arts & Craft Fairs
Unfortunately, there is no single, comprehensive art and craft show directory. The many that exist run the gamut in terms of comprehensiveness, and the nature of the events they list. So a little trial and error is in order.
A good place to start is the National Assembly of State Arts Agencies. At its site, you'll find a directory of state and regional arts organizations and councils. In most cases, those organizations' maintain Web sites or printed directories that list events for their state or locality. Just two examples:
Arts and Crafts ConnectionA state-by-state directory of events.
Art Fair Source BookArt Fair Source Book covers 600-plus juried art fairs and craft shows nationwide. It's unique in that it applies ratings, based on surveys of past participants.
It also isnt' free. You can buy a print edition, and you can subscribe to an online service that lets you search the same listings in the print edition online.
American Craft CouncilA national directory of juried shows operated by the American Craft Council.
Arts/Crafts Organizations and ShowsThe Crafters' Internet Site maintains a list of shows, and of organizations that sponsor shows.
National Crafts Guilds, Societies and OrganizationsThe Arts and Crafts Association's online directory of associations, many of which sponsor and/or list events.
